Finnish ALD reactor manufacturer Picosun Oy has announced that it has appointed COO, M.Sc. Juhana Kostamo as Managing Director beginning from August 1, 2006.
After graduating from Helsinki University of Technology he has gathered several years' experience in international Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) activity. He joined Picosun as COO (Chief Operating Officer) in 2005.

During the last years Picosun has become a major international ALD reactor manufacturer. Risto Peltonen has started as Field Service Manager beginning from August 1, 2006. He is in charge of ALD reactor installation and service. Mr. Peltonen has more than 15 year of international experience in ALD reactor service and installation.
M.Sc. Otto Laitinen has been appointed as ALD Technology Specialist. Mr. Laitinen has several years of experience in ALD and other thin film deposition methods in international companies in Finland and abroad. His main task is to work as an expert in ALD research projects and coatings.
Juho Poutiainen has been appointed as Equipment Engineer. Mr. Poutiainen is working in design and testing in customer and R&D projects.
Inventor of the ALD method in 1974, Dr. Tuomo Suntola continues as Executive Advisor for Picosun. Dr Suntola is working as theoretical advisor in application of ALD technology in various R&D and co-operation projects.
Founder of Picosun, Sven Lindfors, continues as CTO. Mr. Lindfors has designed ALD reactors continuously since 1975. He is in charge of technology and design of ALD reactors.
M.Sc. Pekka J. Soininen continues as R&D Manager. With 20 years of experience of ALD research, he is charge of research and development.
M.Sc. Veli-Matti Karjalainen continues working as Project manager. He is in charge of delivery projects and coordinates the work of subcontractors.

Atomic Layer Deposition is used to fabricate ultrathin and conformal thin film structures for many semiconductor and thin film device applications.
